so... I enjoyed the first part of the ceremony- the whole village green to the industrial revolution bit. Makes me want to visit the UK now so I guess they did their job.
Mr Bean- always a pleasure to see. it was all downhill from there though. I stuck through the children on their beds and finally went and played quake 4 when they started the pop culture bit.

Except they redeemed themselves as soon as they put on the awesome fireworks display with Pink Floyd in the background - the show went from -2 to an 8.

There were a lot of brilliant moments, hearing Prodigy was one of them, they could've easily gone the Spice girls or nsync route, but they didn't.
