Switched my gaming machine to use this. First time arch linux experience for me, but was very easy to install. The theming support is actually pretty cool. I. have a Fallout pip boy based theme on atm.

Different is not better. Give me the basic navigation a 90 year old can navigate so I dont have to think about it and can enjoy whatever the reason was I switched on the computer.

I am going to give Omarchy a test run on an entry-level laptop, and then install Winboat to see how well it handles a containerized Windows. I know there are other vm solutions, but I want to test it with native Windows apps.

Hmmm, it has its use case, but Omarchy will also use Docker (sorry, Dockur). WinBoat is also still in its early stages, so it will evolve with user and dev input.

The Linux dev environment though is in anarchy. I didn't use to be like this. I am all good with Omarchy being a disrupter, though I still find CachyOS as the better distro, just from a performance point of view. For the server side of things I am happy with Ubuntu LTS.

Some of these devs though, they need to grow up. This is a form of diversity that leads to defragmenting a common cause.

For now I will wait for Omarchy 3.1 before exploring it.
 
I just installed Omarchy 4 and am loving it so far. Bit of a learning curve with the keyboard commands but i am slowly getting the hang of it.

I like Omarchy, but it isn't replacing CachyOS on my side anytime soon. I do support their mission to accelerate Linux adoption, but the whole vs them thing is dragging Linux down. I am talking about distribution, now you have Omarchy vs Arch. Linux needs to remain open, even when it is littered with anarchists and now I am talking Animal Farm or should I say Linux Farm?

Omarchy is good though, but not revolutionary. IF they can sway vendors to relook legacy support on Linux then they will have my vote all day. Far too many architectures are underutilized and or simply sandbagged.
