Buy the BlackBerry BOLD

Pros:
You cannot get viruses on any BB
UNLIMITED EMAIL.Email are PUSHED to you.
UNLIMITED BROWSING on DEVICE
To get these unlimted benefits you have to activate BIS(R59pm) 0r Bes(R85PM)

Cons:
No touch screen but than you can buy the BB STORM)
NOT WATERPROOFED
Track ball can get faulty

If you like swiming Buy the Sonim XP3.This phone can go under water up to 1 meter for 30 mins. And it comes with a 3 year UNCONDITIONAL WARRANTY.

BB is awesome just keep in mind the excellent BB service we're getting from MTN and Vodacom... and what about HTC Hero is that in your price range?

BlackBerry Bold 9000. Or wait for the 9700. I got rid of my Omnia after two months (couldn't stand it) and have never looked back. BlackBerry <3

You have started well by asking, however research well, check the BlackBerry threads to determined which Service Provider can provide the best reliable service.

This is crucial because a BlackBerry handset is nothing without the BIS/BES.

Have to suggest the Bold 9700 which is going to be hitting the shelves from mid November, early December.

Why, the Omnia is getting long in the tooth and based on WinMo.

You may feel a bit miffed after signing a two year contract on a Bold 9000 only to find the replacement model appearing two weeks later.

Have a look at the new Samsung i8910 (Omnia HD) if you want to go with Omnia

And go with MTN. Vodacraps bis service is just that.

Does MTN offer PAYG Blackberry? I'd love to try them out but not for 24 months. Vodacom's current problems could just as easily be suffered by MTN users down the road.
