On Digital Media Top TV channels explained

Coming May ... I am definately jumping ship to ODM, In the mean time I am going to downgrade to Compact... I have a 4Mb ADSL line, if I cant wait 4 a movie I download ... if I want to watch a series season not yet available I watch it on www.tvgorge.com ... I shall not be ripped off MC with its many repeats anymore.:D

I find that all series I like by the time they hit Mnet I ve already seen them.

The bouquet seems very similar to My TV http://www.lyngsat.com/intel68.html which you can tune in on your DSTV decoder at present. Not sure what the pricing comparisons are though.

Yes it is very similar to My Tv but we cannot get that here in SA, its only available for the rest of africa. Its also a lot more expensive to subscribe to My Tv looking at their website...

TVGorge is dead, theyve been forced to stop showing content :-(

Hmmm.. the fox and showtime looks interesting BUT if they not in widescreen with DD sound I will give it a miss.

Thats my biggest thing now...

If ODM broadcast in 4:3 aspect ratio I'll give them a miss.. we've been pushing hard to get NoChoice to start supporting 16:9 correctly and they're finally starting to.

Only a couple of those stations catch my fancy. I suppose we've all got use to DSTV offerings that everything else just seems a bit 2nd grade. I definitely not going to ruch out and get the service, but I will be watching them to see what the general consensus is.

From the ODM web site:

How is this different to bouquets?

I thought from a previous article on here that customers would be able to choose channels i.e.:

Pay a basic fee, say for connection and then a certain amount per channel chosen to a max of R249....

My bad

So no matter now what you choose, you may/will end up with something you do not want???

I am not exited anymore

+1 :(

I wish they would make their website better, I know people don't like DStv but the MNet website is pretty damn cool when it comes to content and information.

If they have the cash, the company I work for would gladly develop and awesome system that would make the MNet site look like a personal home page done in Frontpage :p

Oh God!

Since it does not seem that there will be the option to exclude the christian indoctrination channels, I'll stick to monochoice for now. better the Devil I know than the God I don't care to know

Just because a channel is available doesn't mean you have to watch it. DStv has Christian channels too.

You're afraid you might be tempted watch and end up converted?

Hallelujah

:D

I don't see the point in having these channels, thats what Walking on Water would be for...and that is even cheaper than ODM, the christian channels on any bouquet I choose would be defunked.
