On friday I Was sitting in a friends car and watching 3 rowdy drug dealers sitting on a power box in a busy steet , just waiting for them to start a fight orr something was rather interesting to watch so anyway here comes this well built guy looks like an arab or something and think he asks them for a certain bussinesses location , anyway the one dude tells him "You a bodybuilder? but im sure i can knock you out in one punch" and i expected a fight, the arab dude is like "come" so these guys just start laughing to hide their fear anyway they where like "relax we just kidding".

Nothing really happened but that kinda inspired me to make this thread where we could discuss self defence and best arts, moves etc most practical ways to avoid or win a street fight , I would like to know what training do mma fighters do to get powerful kicks.

Thnx

You can't really taze 3 people at once, nor would fighting 3 people be wise, even with extensive self defence training. Running is probably your best choice in nearly all situations so why not train at sprinting :D Mix it up and train at sprinting with jeans on, or smart shoes etc :D

Tazer for sure. I keep a few around the house and in the car. In my car I also have an extendable 100% metal baton and I reckon when armed with both 3 guys would think twice about looking for nonsense with me unless they had a gun. A bigass tazer is one hell of a deterrent.

The tazer makes that "Brrrrrrt" sound lol , that sounds dangerous. Anyway a long time ago I saw my brother fighting about 4 guys at once ,he took his top off so they couldn't grab him and kicked them in the thigh in a way they couldn't walk for a while , kinda like the muay thai or MMA fighters would kick.I think a powerful kick is another deterrent hahaha imagine kicking someone off his feet.

The sound of the Tazer is often times a deterrent, if that doesn't work, rather run like hell....

The baton would make ppl think twice without a doubt, 3 guys would definitely destroy you if they had the guts to get hit with the baton, however, no one wants to be that first guy in the fight, cause he is gonna get whacked pretty hard..

I am not a large fan of kicking, prob because i have not had much practice in it, but especially against multiple oponents, I prefer to try keep both feet on the ground at all time and constantly keep moving, staying still is suicide.

Fighting is also a confidence thing, once you realise that being punched usually wont kill you, and you get over the fear of getting hit, u have an advantage over the other guy.

Sound like, better run fast with the TAZER and let them one by one catch up with you then use the tazer!

tau1z you are right I feel like that aswell i dnt have very good balance to kick , but I have done it before and got out of a sticky situation.Still I didn't like kicking until I saw my bro that day disabling those guys with one kick.

A trained kick is more powerful then a punch I can imagine how a straight kick can fell a charging opponent , but I think If you not confident kicking then rather not kick.

Never kick unless you're flippin accurate, quick and powerfull. And stick to low kicks to the shins, knees and jewels. And maybe a knee to the groin.
Those high and showy Bruce Lee kicks will only get your leg caught and your nether regions hit/kicked in return. Or you'll just get thrown to the ground.

The best move? Run away. Get fit, learn to run far and fast. In addition carry pepper spray and know how to use it. Get a small stun baton as well. A telescopic baton is a worthwhile thing to keep in your car too. Don't bother with martial arts unless you're planning to dedicate many hours a day to training and waiting some years before you are proficient. By then you'll also have learned that the best defence is running away.

I don't care how tough that big guy thought he was those three would almost certainly have ripped him to pieces. If they were gangsters I guarantee it.

Then he got lucky. Get into a fight four genuine street thugs and they will hurt you.

You land a decent kick to the head and its instant lights out. Granted, I probably couldn't get that high anymore - getting old :(
