OK let me have a go

Each moth you will pay R131 if you want a normal voice line from Telkom
If you just want ADSL you take the closer package and cancel the voice part but you pay R150 odd for a 384 and R415 odd for a 4meg per month every month
You then pay for Data aswell so IF you take the Do3 package it works out to R553/m which breaks down into R413 for the 4 meg line + R28/gig for the 5 international gigs and 30 local gigs free.
Afrihost for 5 gigs +4 meg line = R5 more but you get no local and you pay only R29 for top ups as apposed to R69 or what ever it is.

My advice get the Do3 and an Afrihost 1gig as your top up account so you run your Telkom to the ground, swwitch to Afrihost, run that to the ground and top up at R29/ gig or R14.50/gig if you lucky. It takes some effort but its worth it.

They don't incl lines, only data.

So if i'm correct then in my understanding, R290 for a 10GB from afrihost and R413 for line. No other hidden costs? Other than the line install? Does that 413 incl the R140?

Almost there, you still need to add your phone line rental as well.

In my case it's:
R145 for the Closer package 1 (choose it because you don't pay any inst fees for that)
R413 for the 4 mb/s ADSL line
R145 for Afrihost 5gb

That comes to: R703 monthly
