Hi Guys

IS it possible to have one CPU and 2 monitors/keyboards/mouse connected to it.

Thanks
DD

If you can connect one set of peripheral devices to a CPU, I'd be impressed.

LMAO you meant to ask can you connect 2 monitors to one computer box? YES :D as long as you have a graphics card that support 2 monitors. Generally you will have to get a converter for the 2nd monitor (the plug on the graphics card is different the name escapes me) then all you do is set it up in the display settings and bob's your uncle you A for a way.

The bill is in the post :D

If your motherboard uses an AGP video card, then you can use that for the primary display, and get a cheapy PCI video card for your secondary display.

Set the motherboard to boot to AGP to ensure the AGP stays primary.

Windows should detect the second PCI video adapter and configure itself.

I think we're missing the point of what this guy wants to do...

It sounds like he wants to use one PC for two people to work on simultaneously, which won't work.

What is it that you want to do with this setup? Tecnically you can, get 2x USB keybaords, 2x USB mouse and the display card have to have 2x outputs, eg DVI and VGA or DVI and DVI...

Yes, technically, he can, but you will have shared control, 2 mice don't mean 2 pointers functioning independantly. You can however have a setup similar in principle to some driving instructor's vehicles. Where they have dual controls in case they need to take over at any point.
However I don't see how you could be placed in a situation that warrants an emergency takeover on a PC. Besides it's too impractical and unnecessary, Rather just push the "user error" out of the way and DIY.

I think the only practical use for this kind of setup would be some kind of prank. With the 2 setups placed back-2-back with a one way mirror/window in between. The prankee sits on the one end that looks "legit" and the prankster sits on the other end with the extra monitor, mouse & keyboard.
Then while the prankee is doing their pc "stuff", the pc suddenly becomes "haunted" and starts doing things on it's own. Browsing embarassing
websites, typing out messages, etc.
Would work great in a cybercafe setting, I think.

That just gave me an idee. :D For the days you are bored at work. :p

Or you can go for a terminal server , where you can have multiple clients( keyboards, mouse and monitors ) on one poor old little CPU :D

Google is your friend.

NO! Don't do it! You will be forever scarred! I received an email about that a while ago, so I immediately knew what you were talking about! Disgusting...to say the least!
