So boy child mucked up his second Xbox headset, so off we went on the impossible journey looking for a headset.

Failed attempts included Game, Makro, Toyzone, Incredible corruption, Reggies but the funniest was Hi-Fi corp woodmead - there in all its glory their display Xbox 350 with the oh so pretty flashing RROD.

Anyhow couldn't find the damn headset so ordered one online, but that RROD at Hi-Fi Corp was so funny especially after the dude at toyzone said they no longer stock Xbox goodies due to high return rates ( morons, they could still sell accessories and games, thats where the moola is anyhow).

Anhow me thinks must go replace my Xbox and get unit number 4 - this last one is missbehaving....but man, some good prices in the shops on the arcade model

One way to Increase PS3 sales is to sell it at cheaper prices.

Everyone would buy PS3's if they can afford the console and also the games.

The reason most people still stick to PC's is cause the Original PC-Games cost around R300-R450 +- *TOP games cost R450+-* , console games start off at around mid R400 to around R700.

So 1stly the damn Console sets you back like quite a few grand, and then each game sets you back another R500-R700.

If consoles were cheaper, and Console games were in line with PC-game prices then you will find that more and more people will go for Consoles.

I dont know how u guys manage to destroy 360's :D my console was manfactured july 06 which means it will be 2 years old this july and it still works perfectly (for a xenon) and it runs for very long hour BTW ! only thing I ever had 2 replace was my controller battery !

if i remember correctly aint 360's cheaper now than they used to be, I think I can remember a thread here on myadsl

erm...my first console just broke, RROD and jammed, the replacement sounded like they had replaced the cd drive with a angle grinder/washing machine/chain saw (take your pick) and the third one ran smoothly and then sometimes just RRODs for no reason and other times gets moody and just wont open the cd tray...just havent replaced it yet cause I am lazy and boychild tooo busy killing every1 on COD4 so no time to swop.

dont worry, its only a matter of time, i also thought mine was superman, then along came some kryptonite in the form of RRoD :(

all ps3 games are not more than R400 for original games in bruma flea market and if u buy more than 1 u can get them for up to R300

Did you try Look and Listen? They normally have the XBox accessories.

where is this bruma flea market? R300 a game sounds very tempting :D

hmmm... well, after a quick search on google I noticed that the ps3 error 80010514 was about 9,270 and the xbox rrod was about 577,000

so, I can't really say that there's much to be worried about with the ps3

Yeah, but the fanboy answer to that is "But RRoD has a years head start on 80010514!" ;)

heh heh, I don't expect it's going to get as bad as RRoD. Apparently it is related to corrupt firmware.

I think the moral of the story is just "buy local".

And will this PS3 problem involve the usual send it off to the local distributor and hope you get it back one day, and that it might even be fixed when you do?

I believe once the PS3 has been cracked / hacked in some way, other than taking the console apart to play pirated games or content which is region restricted, the sales should increase quite a bit. ;)

you telling me people are gonna mess around with there R5000 console to play cheap games? ha, maybe when it's more like R3000 people will start taking risks and install hacked updates. y should I care about region restrictions on ps3 games? Sony didn't put any on the console :p
