If I'm not mistaken, the one price ADSL should have been released as from yesterday (10 April).

Any news on what savings us customers will see or how exactly this will work, or will the ISP's take the extra bit of profit and screw the consumers also?

Now would be a good time place your order for an installation so you get a free modem. Once the pressure of the installs has been relieved, Telkom will probably increase the install price and drop the modem. be interesting to see what the ISP's offer for the install. There will be little other than price to differ the ISP's. Maybe they will offer a free modem. Who knows.
 
I think even Telkom forgot they said that :/ they don't care dude. We are already far beyond the release date for GTS as well. EISH!
 
The ISP's will probably give a free modem bec this structure is already in place overseas and most ISP's give a free modem. They do make you sign a 1 year contract tho

Weird, I drove past a GOAL van at the Samrand offramp in Midrand yesterday.

I was tempted to pull the person over and try to strangle a real date for going live out of him!

I have real doubts that they exist. No reply to my e-mails, no update on page, no nothing. I hear tell of people very seldomly spotting a van of theirs, perhaps just an illusion?? lol :) all this waiting for affordable comms will drive anyone mad.

ahhhhhhhh yes I see one of those vans now :D
