Jews aren't allowed to enter for religious reasons, not because they're so noble and want to 'maintain peace'.

There will never be peace there. There are far too many issues between the 2.
This is not the first war between the Arabs and Jews and it won't be the last. to go into a place of worship and murder innocent people.......that shows a blind hatred and ad I said can you just imagine if the Jews did this to the Arabs? ????

You mean the same Abbas who said this on Friday in the West Bank town of al-Bireh, "This is our mosque and the Jews have no right to enter it and defile it,” he said. Remember he's speaking about the Temple Mount, in the centre of Israel's capital.

Or the Abbas who equated Zionism with Nazism or perhaps the Abbas who, depending on the audience, still denies the holocaust. Yeah, he's much better than the "broken Israeli government"

Mate, there is no synagogue on the Temple Mount.
There is the Dome of the Rock (big golden Mosque seen in most pictures of the Old City), and Al Aqsa (the greenish domed mosque).
No synagogue at all. Jewish worshippers pray at base of the Western Wall - outside the Temple Mount complex.

Get your facts straight.

You're confused, but it's understandable.
There is an Israeli secular law ban of Jews praying at the Temple Mount as part of the Israeli-Jordanian peace treaty.
Completely separate from the religious leaders issuing an edict that Jews shouldn't visit the site.
It's the former that's enforced by Israel, not the latter.

Under the terms of the Israel–Jordan peace treaty, the Temple Mount remains under Jordanian custodianship, and Jews may enter the compound, but are forbidden from praying or conducting religious rites there.
