How are you guys doing it...


I have about 1GB of databases I need to backup online and another 1gig of files..

Was looking at Afrihost Mybackup but it doesn't run on SBS server

What else is out there.. I could use drop box and syn the directory.. but what are their sync algorithms like ?
 
I use Dropbox for some things. Mainly working in a dispersed team. The only thing that irritates me about it, it that everything has to be in a Dropbox folder. So, it will sync everything in User\Documents\Dropbox, but you can't tell it to just sync User\Documents.

I'd be interested to see what other solution people are using.

Edit: The sync system seems to be quite good. I haven't found it heavy on bandwidth. It only syncs parts of files that that have changed. It also syncs all the time, rather than once at midnight, or whatever. So, as soon as I save a file it syncs it. This works for me when I'm working in a team, but might be a little over the top for a backup solution. Maybe.

Maybe check out Windows Live SkyDrive I think you get 25Gb storage free and then 5Gb of that can be used as a sync folder to sync stuff on your PC.

I am not sure if it supports other platforms like DropBox supports Mac, Android, etc. However, DropBox you only get 2Gb unless you pay for more.
 
A buddy uses MAC and says SugarSync is very good. 5Gb storage with apps for all the mobiles as well.

got sugar sunc up and running.. and synced..

Will monitor bandwidth over the next couple of days to see how efficient the syncs are..

need to check Syncing raw files vs Zipped ones...

Backup is most important which helps to restore data back in data loss situations. Backup outlook and even migrate to new version of outlook efficiently using proficient tool. How do i migrate outlook 2007 easily using this tool might be next query.You can preview backup and migration process when you download demo version of the utility.
 
I managed to get my free Dropbox account up to 17gb now, thanks to the educational program Dropbox are running.
