I am building an online course for college/university students who are studying software development. And I'm trying to put together a small focus group of students to be a part of the course development process, to help ensure the content is relevant and interesting to them. Having trained many interns and juniors over the last 10 years, it only makes sense to take it to this level. As part of this process, you will get full access to the course for free. I will also help you with any advice or guidance that you require.

If you are interested in being a part of this process, please message me and I will provide you with more details.

Hi. Not a student, but I am wondering what your curriculum consists of?

Most of the content is focused around the student mindset and growing out of it, what colleges & universities do right and wrong, and what to expect (and should be doing) in your first year as a developer.

This is not a technical course. Most educational institutions get that mostly right. This is about everything else that developers often don't pay attention to, that leads their career & passion to dead-end. I've based the curriculum on 10+ years of working with interns and junior developers.

This is a fantastic opportunity for students and junior developers to get ahead of the curve with multiple advantages against fellow developers. And its free! And you get to leverage my years of experience to learn about the industry, rather than going in blind.

Does this course need any background knowledge? Or can someone with zero software dev groundwork give it a go and learn from scratch?

If its collage level Im guessing there will be a need for some knowledge of the field but if its not needed then Ill be interested in learning from scratch.

@MidnightZA You would be required to currently be studying or have studied Software Development at a college level.

Learning from scratch, without formal education, is a tough line to walk. Many companies won't even consider you without a degree or diploma. Its a really tough battle until you're about 5+ years of experience, then they don't care about your degree/diploma that much.
