Hi guys,

I am getting a XBox one soon.

Is a 2meg adsl business line sufficient for online gaming? Restriction is Telkom currently.

Online gaming doesn't use massive amounts of data, unless you update games and so on. even a 1 Mbps is fine as long as you have a solid ping.

That's the main thing, ping.
But even a 2meg will have acceptable ping as long as you don't use it while downloading.

yep 2mp is fine , just keep in mind xbone games are big and the updates is big also :)

Xbone games are pretty decent priced on the store also , all new games is R680 on store.

Thanks guys.

Will be getting a 2meg business uncapped account. Just need to look at ISPs. Suggestions.

I schedule my downloads for when I go to bed anyway.

To think, 3 years ago I was using a 1mb line. Running 4meg now just spoiled me. :)

Can't schedule your downloads on the Xbox unfortunately. But you can pause them.
Go for a capped account for gaming. Tried Business Uncapped from WA and Crystal Web but only the capped offering was perfect.

Reason -> Some games eg. Destiny; use P2P protocols for multiplayer which could screw you over quite a bit with constant disconnections.
