Online or offline gaming?

Can't speak for Counterstrike, but BF2, with 64 players and VoIP came in at 40-60mb per hour.

When I was playing every night, 3Gb was just about enough.

At 50MB/h the online gamers must be Telkom's biggets non commercial money spinners. They should then put some of that money back into the gaming community.

Something else I meant to ask in my original post was whether most of your gaming was done locally or internationally.

As for Counter-Strike....I'd say it used between 30mb and 40mb per hour...I have a 3 gig cap and a 512k line....I can last an entire month off this and it only costs about R550

(Openweb As my ISP ;) )

I play alot of DOTA but not online, only LAN.. Online I have experienced Maple story. Its quite cool. Something different.

Online : Counterstrike source; Dota; (used to play wow); nfs carbon (xbox); (used to play bf2).

Offline : GOW (still trying 2 get the hang of it before i go online.)

As much as I detest the company, I must credit them in this regard as they do. Telkom/SAIX is the biggest host of online gaming servers in SA as SGS

As far as packages go, I use WebAfrica, I've always found them an absolute pleasure to work with, and 3Gb is normally just enough for me to squeeze by in a month between Local gaming and some music. That and a bit of a prepaid buffer and a bit of unshaped for Xbox Live all managed through a really easy interface.

We are thinging of launching a Gamming proxy. so you would only require a local account. However you would be required to pay for the proxy use.

A fixed fee. can be used for Skype etc.

Online : CS source & used to play TM Nations, hoping to get TM united when it is finally released here
Offline : Most FPS single player, most strategy games & most the need for
speeds :p
Lan : Not Dota! :D

Online: Call Of Duty 2
LAN: Call Of Duty 2 / DOTA
Single Player: Neverwinter Nights 2
