Online payment without Credit Card

I need to make a payment to Unisa for the R100 application fee. The website asks for credit card details. Can I use my cheque card details for the payment?

How would I pay via internet banking? Anyone have UNISA's banking details?I can't get hold of anyone in the applications or finance dept?

Cheque card will work if your name is embossed on it, this is done by default on fnb cheque accounts card.

It doesn't need to be embossed. Capitec and Standard issue cheque cards which aren't embossed but work online. Just make sure that your card is activated for online or card not present transactions.

long story short

If your card is a Visa or Mastercard (irrespective of it being credit or cheque) it will work.

If its Mastercard Maestro or Visa Electron, then its a debit card and most likely wont work.

You need to get it activated for online payment

If you search companies you will surely find Unisa on you banking portal? also the payment options are available on their website.

I've done an immediate payment from my account. I'll have to see if it goes through. Otherwise I need to rush off to a Standard Bank later today.
