'Online Playstation' delayed

It's about cabinet space I guess.

Cash the only part I agree with you is on the games you grew up with.

Most other things Gav already addressed (I'm also not particularly enamoured by HD).

What turned me against Sony as a brand in general is they way they constantly Screw the users and smile about it. Expensive media, proprietary DRM, terrible local service, over promised and underperforming software, the fact that no matter what PS3 you buy, you're still going to have to fork out another Grand to get decent controllers that should have been in the box in the first place. Don't get me wrong Microsoft are no saints. There are tech issues, Live issues and the Accessories are overpriced, but they've demonstrated more customer focus than either of the other brands both locally and internationally. But also don't misread that, I judge things on a product by product basis, I would happily buy a Sony product if it was best fit for me, it's just not in this case.

As I say, that's just me. If Sony has what you want, I wish you well with your PS3 and look forward to discussing the excellent games we'll all be playing together. I'm sick of arguing opinions.

Its not stupid, who the hell plays metal gear solid 1 on their ps3 anyways lol.Like Gavimm said you will probably have a console if you have the games.
I had a PSone with 50+ games but as soon as i got my ps2 i didnt touch them again, i really dont understand why people want backwards compatability.

@GAVIN
Fair enough, its a money thing for you then.Just find it funny that you have your own website(A great one aswell) but you dont have money for a Blu ray player, gues xbox live must be killing your budget;). But enough about BLU ray,im not a fan ether because of the co$T.
Prices look like their coming down and im even thinking about waiting till june to buy a MGS PS3 bundle, it will just be stupid if PS3 prices go up because xbox prices are coming down.

Cool with me doobiwan, dont see the point of arguing about which console is better because it will go on forever,or until the next generation consoles come out.
Im not too sure about MS service though,i think they were forced to give such good service in regards to broken xbox360's because of the amount of failures there was.
If they were so interested in giving their customers what they want they would give you guys Xbox Live SA.

This type of attitude really gets my goat.... To put it in forum friendly terms...

The PS3 isn't better because it costs more... it just costs more..

If you could get a Ferrari for R500k and a Porsche for R800k would you instantly jump at the Porsche because it costs more?

I believe in value for money and a Blu-Ray player isn't worth R5000.... It's not about not being able to afford it... King Ken started this crappy attitude and it sickens me to see it being bandied about still.

Oh and the PS3 price increase is already official so if your waiting to June to get a MGS bundle (which SK are not bringing in) then you are going to be paying more...

[update]
You can have your own site for free on blogger.com or get your own for as little as R25 per month

I've never seen the point of backwards compatibility though..

If you have a pile of PS2 games then you more than likely have a PS2 as well.. just use that.

But the whole idea of the new consoles is that we are going to be getting better games, I haven't looked at a PS2 or Xbox 1 game since moving on...

Like others have said, it's about space saving. I had a custom unit made for space for 6 units - 5 AVcomponents and 1 gaming console. I'd prefer playing a bunch of my PS2 titles on the PS3 instead of having connecting my PS2 and destroying my 'balance' ;)

In addition, sometimes you run out of video connections

Guess il go down to makro then this weekend.Prices going up doesnt make sense to me though, its kind of crappy.

The PS3 doesnt just cost more, it has more features(Hardware).

Cant believe its that cheap to run a website,i would love to start a liverpool/football website. But i guess it takes up alot of your time hey.

It depends how much time you put into it ;)

You can get a blog on Blogger.com for free, but if you want your own domain it costs $10 a year, that's it really. It's blog format which frankly is ideal for a site of 1, although it is hosted overseas.

...And yes on costs, but - A winabago is a car and a house. I mean why the heck to we bother buying either when we can have both in one package, it's so convenient!
