Only 3G on iPhone 6S

Upgraded to iPhone 6S, prepaid customer for years. Did simswop to get latest 64K nano sim. Phone activated and settings done automatically APN is lte.vodacom.za, 4G selected.

Still only 3G while my iPad shows 4G in the same location. Phoned Vodacom, no solution, went to Vodacom shop in Tygervalley, no solution. What can be the reason for not getting 4G?
 
Yes still only 3G Vodacom support cannot help and are clueless
 
Not in 4G area as I am in Langebaan will check when back in Cape Town. Thks for the help, strange that Vodacom's own helpline could not do it.
 
Yes working now, 4G in Saldanha area, good excuse to have breakfast here!

Hi Ockie, I have a similar problem, since gonig from contract to prepaid, I only manage 3G on my 5S. How could I rectify this?
Also noticed that the call quality and reception degraded since going on prepaid. Any ideas?
 
Hi guys,

Despite Ockie's help in logging the complaint I am still only getting 3g. I have never seen LTE, whereas a friend has the 6 on cellc and is almost always on LTE :(

May I ask, is there any way I can follow up with Vodacom? I dont want to annoy Ockie as he has helped and I cant abuse that.
