I don't think they are even capable of setting a limit, the limit is a lie.
I've not heard of one successful case of the limit actually working, I tried to set a limit once, but later found out that there was none when I queried it.

Here's a challenge for Vodacom, prove to us that it is possible to set a limit, what amount and give a detailed explanation of the procedure one would have to follow to set it.

The only limiter I've seen working is Prepaid.

Doing a upgrade will not change your user set call limit.

This is a huge rip-off by Vodacom - I bought a contract with Vodacom last year. Luckily I noticed in the T&C's that that my limit was R 5000.00 !!!!! I asked the sales lady if they could remove this R 5000.00 credit limit, and cut my data as soon as my miserable 300 MB bundle was finished....to avoid going into OOB ridiculous rip-off prices. Get this......she says "FOR THE FIRST 9 MONTHS OF THE CONTRACT YOU CANNOT CHANGE THE R 5000.00 LIMIT TO A LESSER ONE". So, if you exceed your bundle, then you will get shafted by OOB rates, up to a max of R 5000.00 !!!!!

That is total BS and a clear indication that they want to capitalise on the customer using up his bundle.....NOT NOTICING....and then getting shafted at OOB rates. As a result, I have left my mobile data turned off since the day I bought the contract. i would hate for some apps to start updating, and end up with a R 5000.00 bill.

I went into their store today - since I have owned the contract more than 9 months.....and asked them to change my contract to not allow any OOB data charges when the end of the bundle is reached. I had to get my contract changed - an extra R 20.00 a month on top of my contract, for them to not allow OOB bundle charges to get applied. I went ahead and signed this - so when my bundle is depleted, data comes to a stop, and I can purchase another once off bundle if I so desire.

Me neither. Call limits are free and can a user requested call limit can be loaded immediately after activation of a new line, provided it is lower than the default one. With call limits however if the limit is reached, it is not not data that will stop working, the line will be locked for any outgoing transactions.
