Hello guys,

Are there any of you who support people in the office with pc related issues? People at our office sometimes seem to envy the other users who have newer versions of Microsoft Office (2007, 2010).

The people who start out at our company and do menial tasks don't generally get the latest software. I prefer to give them open office, as I use it myself at my computer. I know it can do all that office 2000/xp can do and sometimes even better.

There are just certain cases when people don't know how to use a certain function, or to set its parameters to get the same result as in office 2000/xp.

One such case which I have yet to resolve is, when someone uses an open office calc spreadsheet to store large sums of data, how is it possible to search through collumns only when pressing control + F.

People in our office have complained that open office lacks this feature. I wonder if there is anyone here who can help us resolve this question?

What other difficulties / resolutions have you found to people who migrated from office xp to open office?

Regards,
