I've been a regular user of OpenBrowse 192k and this month I signed up for OpenBrowse 384k.

The speed is somewhat better, but to be honest I'm not sure if it is worth the extra bucks.

Firstly let me say OpenBrowse is a lifesaver. Besides the primary function of allowing you to browse internationally on local bandwidth it has the neat feature of blocking hosts - in go all the ad servers. I appreciate web pages need to make money off of adverts, but sitting here in SA waiting 5 times longer for a page to load, exceeds my tolerance. I even use Openbrowse when I have international bandwidth. When a webpage is taking a while to load I check to see what server it is waiting on. If it's an adserver then into the blocked hosts it goes.

Here are a few things I find problematic:
- accessing GMail. It does access Gmail, but it takes a while. (okay this maybe going beyond what OpenBrowse was designed for, but if Mr Beep could work some optimization here it would be great.)
- Accessing Images on Imagefap. (I suspect the problem stems from the complexity of the Imagefap's servers.) Often the images try to route on a different port, which OpenBrowse then blocks.
- sometimes a search can't be carried out - for instance if you are searching for a song in binaries.mp3 - OpenBrowse blocks the search page because it thinks you're trying to download a file.

Many Thanks to Mr Beep and the Openweb team!!
Eagerly awaiting credit card facility....

Hey redheadfan

Thank you so much for the feedback. I honestly appreciate it.

I will be trying to make some changes that will hopefully improve on the items mentioned.

Please provide us with some feedback on this thread in a day or so!

Thanks alot!!

One other thing I find problematic is updating my blog site on Google (www.blogger.com). If loses it's connection almost as soon as you try create/edit a post. I have proven it to be OpenBrowse as I connect with my international account and it works fine.
