I need help help again :(

So managed to get into BIOS of my HP microserver and chose 1st boot device as Verbatum USB - great so far. Also managed to download OpenElec (so many versions - just took version 2.0) and unzipped into a directory.

Copies to my USB so that it was e:/openelec/ ... Double click on the file to make it bootable, little blue screen pops up asking for USB driver letter ... Enter 'e:' ... Installs something ... And all seems ok.

No visible files on windows anymore though (normal?) ... And plug it into the HP server. It still won't and says boot failure - any idea?

Thanks

Help? :(

EDIT : I may have downloaded the wrong build ... which is the best?

hp microserver uses the generic build

1. make usb install stick
2. boot hp with install stick
3. follow on screen instructions (install OS either to hdd or to usb flashdisk)
4. done

its that simple really

Why did you flash your bios? I boot off of usb without doing that. I thought that flashing the bios was only to use the optical drive sata port for a hdd?

Anyway, I know it seems simple, but check your boot priority. Press f summing or other to choose the device to boot from. I cant remember been a long time since I done that.

I'm planning on redoing my box so that I can watch netfix over the weekend sometime.

more info on this please

well... I dont have much info right now :p

This is what I have:

1. setup netflix in sa: http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthr...u-in-SA-This-works-without-using-proxy-or-VPN

2. install openelec / xbmc

3. Install some kind of netflix addon :

http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=87552

4.??????? (I'm hoping this will be as simple as changing the DNS on the xbmc box...)

5. PROFIT!!
