I ordered Fibre over a week ago with Afrihost. I have openserve fibre availibilty.

Signup went smooth. Openserve arrived Monday at about 9:30. Only one person arrived.

Some of my street has openserve aerial fibre and my side must be done from the small manholes planted one the front yard. We dont have telephone poles so they installed fibre underground.

Above is how the small manholes look with the fibre splitter residing inside it. This manhole sits inside my yard. The tech didn't have the tool to open it and secondly he didn't even bothered with trenching.

I am left speechless.

He just left. Contacted afrihost, and what a suprise. They were not able to help me sort this problem out. Now I'm left scrathing me head and dont know what to do???

Afrihost and openserve fail!!!

With Openserve they first sent out their own installation person, made some excuse about a tree and left.

A contractor arrived a few days later and helped trim the tree and did an excellent installation.

Hopefully they send a contractor as they are more willing to get the job done and get paid.

IANAE, but that cover looks as if it could be opened up with a screwdriver, maybe even something like a R2 coin.
