Hi guys,
I need some help I ordered PureDSL with Afrihost on the 3rd of December. I received the first email stating openserve require a municipal bill to plot my address, I provided them with my MTN bill as I currently don’t have a municipal bill and still they could not plot my address. I then provided them with an ERF number and still they are unable to plot my address. I am so stressed, I really need a stable internet as I am working remotely. My area doesn’t support fibre yet.

@AfriNatic will sort you out in a jiffy...he helped me get PureDSL where Openserve said there was "No Coverage"

Morning,

Please can you send me a private message with your email address so I can have a look for you?

Has your property ever had a landline installed before in the past?

No, but when I registered for DSL, they mentioned that I do not require a previous landline

This is the first time hearing this, I’ll ask afrihost support, they never said anything about previous landline as a requirement.

You don't need an active landline, which is what they probably mean, but you do absolutely require a landline to your property in order to get ADSL. Sounds like the holdup with your order that there is simply no landline infrastructure to your property which is why Openserve has no record of your property in their database.

make sense, thank you.
You do need a physical landline running from the Openserve Pole into you property already installed, as Openserve will not pull any new physical lines into a property anymore. The line is a must for any PureDSL services to be installed and activated on the line. If you do not have a line pulled into your property, then you will probably not be able to get PureDSL. Are there any other alternatives available in your area like Fiber or LTE services?

Fibre is not yet available. LTE is very slow, when I am on zoom calls I always disconnect.
