Openserve Webconnect package?

@m0theo Did you end up getting this for your dad? Happy with how it works etc? Were you able to get your own router connected and working?

Hi!

So yes, I got the Openserve Webconnect package for him. I chose to go with Axxess as the ISP simply because they didn't charge an activation fee.

A few things:

It seems to be doing the job but with a few things to note. It comes with it's own small modem/router. Although the router has 4 ports, only one of them works (per design apparently). It gives a wifi signal and I used the single active ethernet port to connect to his receptionist's PC.

What I have been struggling with is getting the system to work with Vox Vobi and VOIP. I bought a cordless VOIP phone for him, which needs to be connected with a ethernet cable as well. So seeing as there's a shortage of ports, I "daisy chained" a 3rd party router to the Webconnect one. This seems to work as a way to increase the ports available, BUT for some reason the VOIP phone doesn't work with the connection. I couldn't get VOIP to work even when connecting it directly to the active port on the Webconnect router.

I've asked Axxess if they or Webconnect blocks VOIP but they said no. The phone and VOX account definitely works as I've successfully used it at my house (normal fibre, different ISP). So the VOIP part is something I haven't quite figured out with Webconnect. In the meantime, he's just been using Vox VOBI as an app on cellphone to make/receive calls.

Any Advice?

Openserve did my installation everything seems to work via LAN.

I can't seem to connect to WIFI & I even reset the BOX but the sticker the box is showing and the name the WiFi is transmitting is two different names.

How will I know what's the password?

Easiest way would be is to contact your ISP and ask for their assistance.

The SSID will be "Openserve-xxxx" (Example of mine is 'Openserve 3F7B').

It has a different wireless name on the router (box). Stand near your router then connect to the strongest 'Openserve xxxx' wifi name that your device picks up. Use the same password that is on the sticker underneath your box.
