It's all arranged - he can come and pick up a copy (DVD) at my house

What I do with my opensuse installations is that I install them as normally, but after installation I copy the ISO image of the DVD on the hard disk, and change the repositories in YAST to use this ISO image instead of asking for a DVD.

Works quite well and save you the trouble of hunting for that DVD when it is required.
