Openweb 2 for 1 special

I think we need MrBeep to clarify on this:
Accounts allow 1 concurrent ADSL connection

does that mean 1 connection is allowed at a time, or are both allowed to work at the same time?

edit: I'm betting both will work at the same time though, but the wording definitely needs to be more clear.

Agreed. However, wouldn't one concurrent connect between two accounts effectively be one account? That would be some seriously filthy marketing, and likely to lose them any good press they've built up with their previous specials

It gives you TWO separate accounts. Each one giving you the usual 1 concurrent connection essentially giving you two connections. Each one has to run on a different ADSL line and both will run at full speed at the same time.

Maybe one for your place and one for the lady friend so you can game wherever :P

Wow, that's pretty awesome then :)
Promo should say "Both Accounts allow 1 concurrent ADSL connection" to avoid confusion though.

Essentially this makes your ADSL half-price if you join with a friend!

I just signed up for this. I was eyeing Openweb's Silver Uncapped. I'm really not sure what 2 for 1 means, but who cares. I'll see what happens when I get there.

How did people get confused regarding the number of accounts?

From the site:
Now, for the first time, if you purchase a Silver Uncapped account, you will get a second account absolutely FREE!

signed up and and connected on two lines simultaneously, all looking good. Ping is a bit unimpressive though, perhaps it's just IS

Hmmm... this looks tasty. However - I want a 4Mb account coupled with a 8Mb account. Possible? I'd also like to sample before signing a debit order.

The price difference is so small you may as well get two 8Mb/s accounts.

R240 pm <> small :erm: That's like 20mb of quality Vodacom 3G data  :D
Me thinks a price average is very tasty i.e. R579 for 1x8Mb + 1x4Mb :D

Well, you're paying for one 8mb account, and getting a second line speed account free :p

is this on contract? why do they require a debit order?

Less admin costs for them means they can practically give away 200 accounts instead of making more markup on 20 accounts and then spending it on admin.

but what do you do with two accounts if you can only use one? i dont understand? maybe somebody can explain it to me?
