Openweb 512k Uncapped @ R999 Special

As I said, my account works fine.

Yes, some days browsing is slow, but saying its as slow as modem speed is rubbish. I wouldnt keep an account if I cant download my shows at full speed, and the uncapped account allows me to do that.

I can tell you that it literally IS slower than a modem for HTTPs to overseas. 3k/sec to the Brightmail update servers, whereas on SAIX I get 100+. Funny that this is only the case during business hours.

Just because you're downloading your pirated TV shows off the news servers does not mean that traffic internationally is going to be OK, because it isn't.

Seems like I've once again rejoined the unthrottled group and speeds are pretty good atm - actually excellent if you consider it is a 512kb/s account. I dont think I have need (or spare coin) for one next month but I might have been tempted.

Granted its only downloading but I have a load of stuff to upload to flickr later so we'll see how that goes when the time comes.

last time i check uncapped ment there is no limts or threshold limts??

Monthly Threshold limits..

package UNC512k = 30GB
package UNC1024k = 60GB

Yeah - that's a major bone of contention for me too. They need to stop misleading people and remove 'Uncapped' from the name.

been asking this same question.....

...but apparently its uncapped as it is just as the business uncapped for few more hundred rands

why i have been suggesting as bawana says : drop the uncapped from the product advertisement line
and use something like "managed 512k/256k - Adsl halves at threshold"
