Cannot do anything on my account, not even able to load a Web page, so happy I've sent my cancellation in before the 25th of this month, now to scrape by with this clearly inferior Gold Uncapped product till then

And that's Gold Original.

I cancelled on the 25th, and I intend calling them every week between now and month end to make the debit order was cancelled. Sad, after more than 4 years with Openweb. Moved over to Axxess 10MB business uncapped, so far this account is as stable as I've seen in a while. Daytime browsing is good, getting 6/7MB consistently during the day...well seeded torrents run full speed...AND I can actually open gmail and do Internet banking!!!

Cancelling this account, 10M line only to browse the internet. All digital game distribution services don't go over 30kb/s. Just took me 5 hours to download 50mb Uplay installer.

The throttling is terrible during the day. I'm getting 20KB/S on Steam updates and around 50KB/s on speedtest-rba.isdsl.net.

Also can't open anything - browsing even a problem - and honestly on public holiday it's usually full speed unshaped - but today may as well give up and this is on an uncapped gold original account

Internet seems to have caught a mycardial infarction. Was down on MTN, Vodacom, Telkom, etc.. all at the same time.

Haven't experienced one public holiday in the past 6 months where I didn't have an issue. Shaping monster is hungry and coming for your internets.

Been experiencing the same for the past 36 hours. Have a look a page or 2 back - it was literally faster to VPN in to a machine and flawlessly streaming YouTube from there than what it was to stream from my own machine. Today, a friend P2P a YT clip to me as it was faster P2P'ing than what it was streaming.

Straws on camel's back is getting heavier and heavier...

ok. i'm not one for ranting on a forum. but i have exhausted all means.

Since this morning, my gold 2meg uncapped. connects & authenticates. But unable to browse. By unable i mean
- no google.com
- no gmail
- even trying to ping a site gives a request timed out.

Switch to my FNB capped. Works 100%. Switch back to Openweb and unusable. Currently using my FNB account.


sent an email at 3pm to [email protected] - (its now 5pm) no reply.
called them at 0861 22 44 66 (about 3:30pm) guy took my details down, promised to call me back. Still waiting.

Just got home and I can't access any international site. Speedtest fails and gives me a Latency error.

Local working fine through.
