OpenWeb ADSL Feedback Thread (Pt2)

You still trolling this thread?
You still trying to censor his posts?

Unless otherwise said by RPM or Antowan we are free to reply here as it a public forum and thread. If you feel so appalled by the replies then follow forum rules: Contact a mod or report a bad post.

Please do not take offense but I am tired of this now. This is not an mweb thread and as previously posted it is coming across like you are trolling this thread! We did NOT ask for your input or advice on a ISP or your recommendation of mweb.

No one here would be happy with throttling! That does not equate to uncapped.

None taken. You mentioned all ISPs having issues, and I simply showed you that they were not. I didn't bring up throttling...

Therefore, it's unfair to mention trolling, when I am responding to your bringing up new topics. Clearly, I'm not trolling. This is a public forum, as well as a public thread for anyone to comment in.

happy internets surfers! have made the switch. time to unsubscribe from this thread.

I personally feel that DrJohnZoidberg had a point with his question...

This is a public forum but this is not a thread discussing new ISP's and PostmanPot's posts were actually clogging up this thread in my opinion with information that is NOT relevant to anyone looking for answers to an actual issue.

Common sense > public forum

Not at all. If he actually was an Openweb client and had issues I wouldn't have a problem. All that he does have is a bad personal experience and now is constantly posting in this thread without providing anything constructive.

I'm not going to report any posts, I just personally think it's in bad taste especially recommending other ISPs when not actually trying to assist with the real problem.

Look at all the ex MWEB clients who constantly post about them in other threads, nothing wrong with it. It doesn't mean they're not allowed to comment about them. Many would in fact support them, because about everyone disagrees with throttling.

Other ISPs aren't simply being recommended. Show me posts where they were. And on the topic, if OW clients constantly go through the process of getting new accounts to resolve problems (since new accounts and port resets/powering down modems are seemingly the only resolutions at their disposal), and problems continue to reoccur, obviously the next move is to vote with your wallet. Show me how it's wrong passing the odd recommendation when it brought up by someone wanting a better internet experience.

You brought up a ISP in a thread that has nothing to do with new isp's or anything of that nature, i answered by saying why I would personally not choose that isp because of throttling.

This thread is here for Openweb subscribers to find solutions if and when they have a problem.

You carried on singing the so called praises of a ISP no one on this thread cares about or even ASKED FOR, which clogs up this thread for people looking for solutions... so mentioning trolling i feel is deemed acceptable.

Your opinion < forum rules: Use them and loose the self-moderation and censorship of others opinions.

You both are talking a fallacy, I find it hard to believe that you never give your opinion on a product if you yourself do not support that product.

As before I will keep on reporting any abuse from openweb subscribers, staff or owner.

I do give my opinion on certain matters from time to time yes... but giving your opinion is one thing, multiple posts after the other thread subscribers have shown that they have no interest in said opinion or product is another story...

ps. I was not trying to censor anyones posts. This guy can happily post what ever he wants, I was just giving my opinion as well which you are now telling me is wrong? WHO ARE YOU TO JUDGE? lol...

The way I see it, is that you brought up dissatisfaction and an unacceptable experience for a 10Mbps line. You then said that you see all ISPs are having problems, as if it could be the same elsewhere and/or that it's OK.

I simply told you they aren't.

As you say we all have the right to post our opinions, I've given mine. I'm going to try not to derail this thread anymore with off topic discussions and rather try to assist people and provide valuable feedback that isn't just anecdotal.

Although a simple browse of this forum would show that even "good old mweb" have their own issues from time to time... my only point.

Please can we stop this conversation and get this thread back on track?

:D

Anecdotal, like usage on the IS user stats page being incorrect? Yeah. ;)

You can't compare the two.

Certainly, let's do it.

Mod_note: These threads are clearly designed/intended for customers to provide feedback to their respective ISPs - not for disgruntled former customers to vent, not for other ISPs to promote their services, etc - and, one hopes, for the relevant ISP to respond.

See, not so hard after all: Thanks for the mod note.

:Edit
Thanks for the OP update, just wanted to say, but you were faster :D

Any Everyday Uncapped users? What is your experience like?

I was using Titan on a 4mbps, one minute you are cruising at max then you are Flinstoning it on dialup speeds.
This I obviously did not like at all and thought it was how the package worked, so I upped it to a Gold 4mbps Package (Almost double the price). There was no difference the entire month, I would double and triple check the site to see if I'm still on Titan.

I even asked Keoma if the Titan account was canceled and he assured me it was, before I switched even.

This is basically what you look forward to after paying double for the previous experience (Which was just as bad):
http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/3370406903

All I got from support was:
I have reset the core for you
Kindly power down your router for 30 minutes then back on and provide feedback

I did that and it didn't do much, still variable speeds.
After calling and waiting a long while, I get through to someone.
I didn't even get a chance to say anything, just keep getting rudely interrupted with "Send us an email with a speedtest" like
a broken f@#$ing record. I already did all that and it solved nothing, why would I follow the same avenue of support?

Anyways, like I said before, Uncapped is unreliable and bad no matter what. Get a fat Capped and Unshaped Package.
Preferably with less rude support too, which is not MWeb (My previous ISP) haha.
