I'll be back, though. Once they upgraded capacity, Zeus willing, I'll be back.

The issues were resolved this morning early.

Thank you for your patience.

@cableguy Can you give us a estimated time as to when the issues in the Western Cape will be rectified...or do we have to Brace ourselves for a delay...?

hi,

i have 2mb line with gold account. the speed test show good results for my line but when i download, the speed stays in the region of 60-80 KB/s...even if i factor out bits to bytes by 10, still this speed makes no sense. and i have tried this after 5, at 12am as well, same speeds.

is it my line, exchange or openweb.

Are you d/l from HTTP, nntp, etc?

Internet is super slow any reason why ? Speedtest shows 370k/s but takes about 30 sec to complete the test???

I submitted a request to cancel yesterday and haven't heard anything yet. How long does this normally take?

What alternative would you suggest for a 2mb uncapped line?

I have been talking to support since the 2nd April. The only fix they will do is to tell me to switch off my router for 30mins, plug out my line etc etc. After doing this routine several times and keep asking them for an actually solution/fix, they keep telling me to switch off my router. I believe they have no intention to fix my line.

After a while support does try a new tactic, they try convince me to rather pay for the 4mb uncapped, since 5-20kb is the expected shaped speed for a 2mb line gold package that I should expect. R i g h t . . . . .

I know my line is fine since I am testing it on other ISP, but I am not sure which ISP to go for a 2mb gold equivalent.
