During peak, downloads are shaped, therefore it could run at this speed.

I'd hate to see what a Titan or Everyday account is doing at the moment if this is the performance of your premier uncapped account...

The Titan is almost unusable during the day from 7am to 6pm. I've resorted to a seperate 10gb (R49) capped product for weekday browsing and mail now, as a business unshaped is too much for me.

Quite right. I have just tried to do a Java update of 29.3 Mb and my download speeds were only between 12 - 13Kb/s.
 
@cableguy,

If you do not download during the day, does that mean you are not shaped at all during the day for browsing? Im not referring to downloads.

Much the same for Gold as has been witnessed throughout these feedback threads, especially in the last 1 - 2 weeks - which you can go through if you wish - when folks at home during the public holidays, who are usually at work during hours, had a nice surprise in finding out what daytime performance really is like. Nothing like what Gold is advertised as. :(

In fact we even had a case where an account was shared between/sold twice to two colleagues at the same company, one on Gold, the other on Titan... Both the same accounts, big price difference, and the same performance...
 
They must still rely on everyone is still in moms basement, usage only after and before work hours...

Perhaps call it Mommy's Gold? :)

Can you post some evidence for this (e.g. screenshots of welcome e-mails, invoices, etc)? I'm not saying I don't believe you but you do seem to have a personal vendetta with OW, so proof would be nice.

If this is proven then I'm sure MyBB could write an article about it.
 
i started a few torrents this morning to test how the day time speed will be with the unshaped account
and will give feed back when i get home

just hope my cable stays connected,the plug sometimes just randomly disconnect like it did last night :/

but this weekend the account ran like a dream did about 55gb over the weekend
 
Need some help please.

I logged an issue with O/W due to poor internet performance. On investigation, O/W let me know my log is showing that i am losing connection with the exchange. What has happened thereafter, is that calls on my phone become noisy and people can't hear me. I have logged with Telkom, but they say there is no problem. Could it possibly be the Telkom Cordless phone i have and or the filter? Just need to cross all the T's before i **** myself with Telkom. Thanks
 
remove the phone,let just the adsl run from the phone jack at the wall

u can try a new filter if u have one around,i dont know the price of a new one

also u can ask telkom for a port reset,then leave your router off for a few minutes reset it then login again

and see if it will work.sometimes it helps :)

If proof of this can be posted I'm sure MyBB could do something about it rather than ranting and causing arguments in the feedback thread. I'm interested to know if this is true as my old Gold account also experienced random slow down some days and I was given new accounts each time.

I requested that poster to show us screenshots of the dual account thing. He had all sorts of excuses as to why he couldnt get them. So i wouldnt believe this at face value. I do believe them giving out new accounts everytime we moan about speeds is seriously dodgy.

Show/teach me how to determine who is sharing my ADSL account and I will gladly remit with proof.

Only openweb can show you that. The poster in question said he knew people who were given the exact same account names but didnt bother posting the proof
