When was the last time you used [email protected] ?
I can only find very old details on it, but it looks like it was in use on 2x CPT and 1x JHB TEL#s.
I would say last year october i reckon........since then i had MAJOR issues with openweb which resulted in 8 months of escalations to openweb only for them to give me 2 new accounts neither of which worked. I even paid Telkom a nice lump sum to redo the copper into my house from the box down the road[/B]...........3k gone.
I was also taken off gold and given standard yet i paid for gold. when they looked however when a more "senior" engineer said no it's gold...............
I've shared this information with my Telkom and IS colleagues as i feel aggrieved around the way this was handled. Openweb's practice of blaming telkom first when in fact they are sharing customers accounts amounts to fraud. No matter how much we hate telkom blaming them for something that isnt their fault doesnt make it right.
Openweb are dishonest and should be barred from doing any business with any consumer until they admit the fraud they have been perpetuating for the past year!
Keoma you are worse than Zuma................you and your entire company of staff that lie.
The Dunning–Kruger effect is a cognitive bias which can manifest in one of two ways:
Unskilled individuals suffer from illusory superiority, mistakenly rating their ability much higher than is accurate. This bias is attributed to a metacognitive inability of the unskilled to recognize their ineptitude.
Those persons to whom a skill or set of skills come easily may find themselves with weak self-confidence, as they may falsely assume that others have an equivalent understanding.

Does anyone know what the uncapped unshaped office time shaping policies are like?

If you're referring to the Uncapped Business accounts. 100% speed on everything so far at all times. Hoping this stays like this.
This is what I don't get with some people.
Surely if you are prepared to go through such extreme lengths to solve your issues, surely you can see that it is much easier just to buy another account from another ISP (most are free anyway) and compare the two (granted that if you're a noob to adsl and this is your first account and you don't know your arse from your elbow when it come's to diagnosing line/exchange/account (shaping/throttling for egproblems etc then you're forgiven (but is a thin line as just due to the fact that you're here on MyBB, to me, means you're above your average joe), but then take this experience as a lesson that you shouldn't assume anything and conduct a process of elimination test, even tho you wont convince "them" about it, at least it will give you peace of mind and help make it easier for you to make the decision to move on.
EDIT: I only managed 6 months of OW 4mb Gold Original with at least 6 accounts if not more. Yes, I was still a bit of a noob back then and OW was my 3rd ISP, but my experience was radically different from the first 2 I tried. At least with them, you knew (well not knew but discovered) at an early stage what was happening and that that was the way it functioned, and if you didn't agree with it then you (for the sake of sanity) had to move on, this process took a few days or weeks, but with OW, they kept giving you another account which just makes you go around in circles, prolonging the insanity.
I have enough intelligence to know that this was not normal and should not have been tolerated/entertained.
I don't rule out the possibility that some people hit a luck with their accounts and that their experiences are what they should have been in the first place, it's just that, from my own experience, it was just horrible, and totally unprofessional (just like Mweb and their upfront double billing (R599x2 arrears and advance in one go - which burned me for life, I don't care how good they are) so I left.
Each to their own I guess.
These new unshaped accounts are on the MTN backbone no?
If so, why go with an ISP that make's it a mission to cancel and forces you to ride out 30+ days?
Rather go with AH or Axxess, and they're cheaper :wtf:
Aah yes.. some public holiday shaping! Everyone must be downloading the GoT episode from Sunday.
Glad I'm not the only one experiencing this. Got to love it.
