OpenWeb ADSL Network - Beta testers needed

Hey Friends,

Im afraid the 10 spots are all taken :)

Please may the selected beta testers post their results here so that we can correct any problems that might exist.

Kind regards
MrBEEP

yeah i sincerely hope they post their "results" and not run away - alot of dedicated potential testers right here :)

Just connected on my new trial account.

Pings look good so far, local and international. Everything I expect to work, works.

Will post here if I find anything not working, or out of the ordinary.

Got my account and there is no problems!
Surfing is a pleasure, pages open quickly and flash content loads very fast.

Speed-wise it is the same as my Afrihost account so far...

Browsing and loading youtube vids...

Will do some more stringent testing...

Browsing has slowed....

I get this speedtest result from the Openweb website:
Your current bandwidth reading is:

153.20kbps

which means you can download at 19.15 KB/sec. from our servers.

:\

Oh well, at least I got an email apologizing that the spots were filled up :) Mebbe I am on the more-beta-testers-needed standby list :D

It seems to be working nicely. A couple times a webpage has bombed out before loading but that is minimal.

Hey Friends,

Thank you those whom have posted results so far. Please update us as much as possible. For the folks whom are experiencing the 'no browsing' problem, please try again in the morning. Engineers are attending to this problem.

We will be releasing more accounts shortly, however, we are slowly releasing accounts, and resolving problems. We would rather have 10 happy folks, than 50 upset folks. We will be selling the accounts in a similar fashion. No overselling of accounts, as this is the ultimate demise of a new IPC network.

Interesting Fact: The international bandwidth runs through Seacom.

Kind regards
MrBEEP

Good to hear that more accounts will be released soon, will we need to drop you an email again or will you notify us in this thread ? I just don't want to miss out on the opportunity again. :D
