Openweb bad support

Wonder if you can sue MyBroadband for endorsing them as this top notch ISP where they are in fact the worst ISP out there. They are in the same camp as Afrihost.

An the lies they sell.... Uncapped account with full speed downloads from 00H00 to 07H00. Utter bull crap! If they shape you for downloading a bit more than you should, you will pay for the service and get 0 service. Even during non peak hours I am shaped to shyte.

So before you dump your money on OpenWeb, rather go to the ATM, withdraw money and flush it down a loo. You will get more joy out of flushing your money than using OpenWeb.

Just remember that those A$$h@les at openweb are going to tell you that you agreed to a calendar month's notice, so you are stuck with them till end of November... Get out ASAP

As for weekend signups I think that's the norm?

I think OpenWeb is a lot worse than Afrihost. A lot... Nah doubt you'd get anywhere suing MyBB, you'd probably have more luck suing OpenWeb.

So I subscribed to vox. Within an hour I logged a support request as I was not getting more than 10k download speed. After 72 hours no reply on my support request. I called in to be told that there is an interconnect issue with telkom that will take to the end of the month to resolve. So much for that ISP. After I paid.

I must say, from all the ISP's I have had problems with, the only one that is available over weekends and immediately create your account, and provide the bandwidth they promise, is Axxess. I have used and abused them for backup bandwidth during this trying period and they have my respect. My capped download speeds kept staying at 350k day or night. Maybe I will just pay the little extra and stick with them. Vox does not exceed them in service.

It seems as if you have terrible luck with all ISP's. Hopefully you'll find one that works well for you. :)

I did not know that. I am not clued up on who is using who for bandwidth. But from all the ISP's that was suggested and who I tried, Axxess was the only one where i did not have shuuuuuutttt. Quick activation on capped accounts and no trouble afterwards, with excellent bandwidth speeds.

I think the ISP gods have it in for me. Now to figure out what to offer to get this resolved. :p

Everyone here seems to be against Afrihost but you could sign up for a free account and test it for yourself. Telkom is also an option if you'd like to try. :)

Openweb = Caveat Emptor

no matter how many mobile gigs they are "offering".
