Hey Friends,

As with every month, between the 1st and 15th (a little late this month, but it will run between the 5th and 20th), we provide FREE anonymous access to our Unshaping Socks Server.

For the newbsies out there, this basically allows SAIX, iBURST and MyWireless users (IS users are already mostly unshaped), to unshape their P2P downloads, and any other shaped port, by using our 100mb/s server in the USA.

Access to the server is granted through an unshaped port (20 in this case), thus, p2p etc downloads will occur at the FULL speed of your line, depending on quality of sources.

Herewith the server details:

Socks: free.blazetalk.com 20
Proxy: free.blazetalk.com 443

Username: openweb
Password: free

You can find some how-to guides here:

I would appreciate your feedback on this thread.

Have a great evening!

Kind Regards

Hi MrBEEP

Excuse my ignorance, but I assume this is only for people that already have an OpenWeb package? I'm a subscriber to OpenWeb's Forum and currently have a SAIX account (only got ADSL a few days ago).
Can I use this free service?

I entered the Socks: free.blazetalk.com 20 & username/pwd bit into LimeWire, restarted LimeWire but it doesn't want to connect at all. Considering that it's not the 20th Jul yet, it should still work?

This is for everyone. I use it and have Iburst, so I couldnt be a Openweb subscriber.

I have used this service with Limewire before. it works very well, check that oyu put everything in correctly. If you are using a proxy remember it is port 443. Try using port 443 anyway, its the one I usually use. Works almost as fast as normal.

I did the following:
In Limewire, Tools > Options > Advanced > Proxy
Select "Socks v5"
Proxy: free.blazetalk.com
Port: 20 (or 443)
Tick 'enable authentication' and enter:
Username: openweb
Password: free
I then restarted Limewire.

It doesn't connect. What am I doing wrong?
You asked if I use a proxy? No, I have no proxy settings in browser etc. Just download directly.

The proxy must be offline, it doesn't work in uTorrent either.

What you are doing is totally correct Globetrotter. Must be the proxy, maby they have turned it off to open acces by the 15th this month too.

If it doesnt come right it wil probably only be availabe from the begining of next month again. But it does work in Limewire dont worry.

Doesnt it only run from the 1st to the 15th?
