OpenWeb/IS and Astraweb?

yes I am too. Its still early tho. I think it will level out about 8ish
 
I have the uncapped OpenWeb/IS and use Giganews and have had no probs....
 
I can normally start downloading around 7 pm each night and it is always straight on the level for me. When I see this there is normally something wrong. I've e-mailed OpenWeb support.
 
Actually Scratch that, I think its an astraweb problem...
I'm getting max speed from my easynews account, but spiking between 100 and 180 on astraweb
 
hmmm. i am not getting full speed from astra as well. line running at full speed though.

can i also ask, do you guys find you have to run par2repair fairly often on downloads?

Yes, and I often have pieces missing which the PAR files are unable to rebuild.

i never used to have the problem as frequently with giganews. it was a lot more rare with giga.

it hasn't got to the stage where i will switch. but i don't know how much longer i can hold out.

edit: europe server also helped

It's not that bad; this is the first time I'm having difficulties.

Ja, I agree... but I am paying half the price now that I was with Giganews... so I can live with it. Besides, you can either reload the missing pieces if there is an NZB included or wait until it comes around again.

yep. exactly why i haven't moved back to giga. tbf it must be for less than 5% of downloads.

What's weird is that some of the uploads seem to be missing their first RAR file. And a lot of the stuff uploaded lately doesn't have any PAR files available :(
 
Also having this problem. Switched from General to Europe, but not much better.Still spiking.

EDIT: Scrub that. It is now blazing away at top speed.
