Openweb - monthend delays...

Hi All

Hmmm, anyone here experienced Openweb "Month end" delays with account creation and renewals..man, I think they must be having a staff shortage - I cannot wait one full day for my account to be activated? This is crazy...When I phoned the support line just after 17:00 yesterday they were still battling with a backlog of +/- 1000 accounts:eek:...Eish, Eikonna wena boetie.:confused:

Well... I just purchased an OpenWeb account...
But I'm totally not impressed.
 
i pay by credit card, instant activation, they seem to be a good ISP, once had a issue with monthly deductions on my credit card, contacted MrBeep via customer support panel and within a couple of hours had the issue cleared up,,,i was impressed enough to continue supporting them :)
 
...and I was unimpressed enough to stop, credit card and all.
 
ive received excellent service from OpenWeb, emails being answered within 5 hours, accounts being activated quickly after proof of payment via bank deposit is emailed.

even queried them about lag on unshaped and gt quite a believable story (although i am yet to understand how eskom can be blamed) anyhow a big overall thumbs up for OpenWeb. :D

2gb 30gb local (x2 periodically :x)
1gb unshaped periodically

1 Day activation is not the norm, only if there was an issue with your payment, or the incorrect reference was used.

Unfortunately, a large portion of our users dont understand the "Please use your first and last name as reference when payment is made" which causes huge delays for them as we have to manually go through each payment and try and match them up to the client.

If you can please PM me your details, so I can investigate.

I am sorry to hear that some folks have experienced delays. It is a very busy time for us, but this is not an excuse. I will take a look at where the support is congesting.

I also really appreciate the positive feedback. My staff and myself do not just work with OpenWeb, we have a passion for OpenWeb. Thus hearing positive news regarding the passion we drive is truly an honour.
