Hey MrBeep

About a month or so ago I suggested having a local only account with openbrowse... Like a 10gig local only + international surfing sort of thing..

You said that thats a great idea and you will consider this as an option..

We will be making an announcement soon regarding a 10GB local plus OpenBrowse 192k package, we will be favourably priced

Has any progress been made... I'm really interested in this kind of package and so are many other forumites!!

I'm also sure, many ppl will be interrested in a 30gig LOCAL Only account too. or maybe a bigger account.. like 60gig local or even uncapped local at a special price..

30gig local only with Openbrowse would do it for me!

If you need 60 gigz then just purchase 2x 30 gigz!

What u say MrBeep

yeah, but u get a 60gig bundles for special price.... like R50 cheaper than if you should get one 30gig 1st, and then later another 30gig.. i dunno.,. Mrbeep can make some specials for us :>

Hey,

I am currently finishing off our new project almost ready for beta launch called OpenCourier.

As soon as this is done, I will see what I can do with the suggested package.

I really appreciate your ideas!!

Kind regards
MrBEEP

Does this work like torrentflux??? meaning it works for torrents too?? or not ?

Would be nice if you could use it like torrentflux for torrents too.. Cause then u get 5gig extra international stuff over local data basically

Two comments

1. Creative idea - very clever. Someone's mind has been ticking.
2. Its so sad how we need this kind of thing in South Africa. Pathetic! This has got to be a one of a kind worldwide.

OK - maybe not one of a kind worldwide.... or even original... but... its still pathetic how we need this.

Very novel idea.

How about packaging the local bandwidth in with the account for those of us using saix?

One other thing how about a package that rolls over, rather than a monthly charge. Quite understand that that will be a bit more expensive.

Thanks MrBeep for the "sneak preview"

But Please Elaborate like Mad suggested!

*Does the price include local bandwidth??
*Do we need to purchase local bandwith + opencourier
*How do we find the link to the international file????? Does it come with openbrowse???

This still sounds pretty good indead!

But you still havn't offered us "local only "bandwidth + openbrowse ....!!!!!!!!!!

I think the local bandwidth with openbrowse would be a brilliant solution for a lot of people in the forum..I'm sure there would be a huge demand for that type of thing. In fact its exactly the kind of thing i'm currently looking for right now ..30 gigs local + openbrowse would be perfect for me..So let us know Mr Beep if you can arrange that type of thing for us, i would be the first person to buy an account:D
And yes it's very sad that we have to resort to these type of measures to fulfil our adsl needs:rolleyes:

There has to be some openbrowse international.. cause how are you gonna get the links.. the 1st 2gigs/3gigs will fly quick..

Hey Friends,

Each OpenCourier package includes a FREE 64k OpenBrowse account for the sourcing of links.

The current pricing excludes the local bandwidth. The packages as they are currently displayed are focused on current IS users whom already have local bandwidth available.

We are currently designing a new package called OpenWeb Gold. This package will include ADSL bandwidth, OpenBrowse 192k, OpenCourier. It will be very well priced as well.

Please feel free to submit any more questions you may have. I look forward to answering them.

Kind regards
MrBEEP
