Anyone else getting errors when attempting to start OpenRouter? Takes a few minutes and then says "No response from server."

I am definitely able to browse local sites (I am here posting this after all).

I have been wanting to ask this for a long time, but what is OpenRouter ? and what can it be used for ?

When it works, it allows you to browse International websites after your cap using local bandwidth by use of their proxy server. You can't download any files through it or tunnel other protocols through it, but if all you need to do is casual browsing it's worth getting.

When it's working, that is.

Hmmm, ok I have a local only account with Openweb, can I still use it with Openrouter and if so, how do I set it up ?

I think it cost an additional R60/month for access to their proxy server at 192k. It's good value for money, but there is a big problem with it not being reliable.

Since openrouter supports socks proxy can I use something like sockscap to route all of my traffic through a server pc running openrouter? In other words to allow me to share it over a lan without making tunnels for everything

it is set to accept incoming connections from localhost only, but you can add whatever other ip addresses are on your lan in the config then it will forward connections just like any other proxy would.
