Hi all,

I'm currently playing WoW with a mweb uncapped account with a web africa capped account as backup. I'm finding the mweb account is mostly crap these days and I'm using a lot of web africa bandwidth which comes at a bit of a premium. I want to keep an uncapped account for torrents/steam but I'm not very happy with mweb so I'd like to try something else, preferably something that at least mostly works with WoW.

My questions are:
Is the open web gold uncapped any better WoW wise then mweb?
Does the open web account use SAT3 or Seacom for WoW traffic?
Are there any better uncapped solutions out there? (Note I am a pretty casual downloader - far from 24/7)

no there is not any better uncapped.

only sat3 is webafrica and mweb in cpt, and Hellkom( my friend currently getting 900ms+ on)

1. Depends on which backbone you are, the Vodacom Business backbone is very good for gaming overall, I get around 220ms to EU Battlenet servers.
2. Again, depends which backbone, Internet Solutions uses Seacom, Vodacom Business uses a mixture of Seacom/Sat3 as far as I know. I am unsure what the ATC (Alcatel) and BCS networks use.
3. Yes there are, but at a price premium. To be honest thus far Openweb Gold is pretty much the best you can get without going for the super pricey unshaped/uncapped solutions.

I'm using Openweb 4mb uncapped gold and play Motal Online. Server is in Sweden and i'm getting 189ms - 254ms ping, day or night. And i use the same line to do some casual downloading. Works great.

IS back bone is best for just WoW.
Got bad Download speeds and got switched to VB.
On VB you get higher Latancy 450+ more spikes and I noticed when I websurf while playing wow my latency shoots up to +1800 and I get a lotta DC's then but my Download speeds is mostly constant at 100kb/s 24/7

Where I got sub 300ms on IS and a lot less lag spikes but the download speeds sucked.

I'm on a 1meg uncapped gold account on a 1 meg line
