I signed up for the openbrowse and 30GB IS Local.
Reveiced my ADSL account username....
But what about my password and Openbrowse username and password?
plus they might as well not even have a control panel becuase i have been through every menu and no place to change account passwords...
Only the control panel password...

Useless

"From within your personal Control Panel aka OpenWeb Heaven, you will be able to order new accounts, manage current accounts and do just about anything you like in OpenWebLand!"

Thats what i got in a email.... um:rolleyes:

Hummercellc, your ISP has probably implemented Greylisting as a spam-filtering solution - which probably explains the delay in your incoming mail...

Don't blame OpenWeb; blame your ISP :)

Hi Hummercellc

I appreciate the creation of your topic informing MyADSL members that OpenWeb's signup process is useless.

Please note, we do feature a support channel that can be used if you experience any issues:

Email: [email protected]
Secondary: [email protected]

Kind regards
MrBEEP

I have found that few things work better than a telephone. failing that, a quick email normally gets a rapid response from MrBEEP.

this "useless" process hasn't failed me yet

EDIT: perhaps a mod could fix the thread title?

E-mail provider is Gmail. I received the first and second email welcoming me to openweb. so striaght after that i activated the account and didn't receive any passwords till 3 hours later? so if it was spam filtering then how did i receive my welcome email in like seconds?

Still can't find find where you change passwords for accounts though?

Uhm. Please! IS account you can change the password at the usage tracker!

login and select the "change password" option! :)

I have to agree with Hummercellc.

I registered yesterday (Monday 2nd March) and I have not received a single email from OpenWeb. I tried to call their support number but it doesn't work. I send a mail to their support and Edwin Roux kindly help me and I can now login to my account pn their website without any problems.

When I got home this evening I tried to enter what I assume is the login details (under My Accounts in the control panel) on my router but I can't connect to the internet. A simple email that stated my login details would have been nice but alas, I emailed their support again and will have to wait untill tomorrow because they don't have 24h support. I guess I am just too spoilt by Axxess's excellent customer service.

Well I created a new account this morning have not had an ounce of problems.. must just be some people luck.

check your spam folder. Openweb sends out emails about your ADSL login details. What you see in the control panel is only the username but no password. I had to request for password once as the email never came.

I signed up Sunday morning, paid via EFT, e-mailed proof of payment, went out for a few hour, came back and everything was ready and I used my account - on a flippin' Sunday morning, so clearly the whole system is not screwed up
