This is my second thread in 2 days regarding openweb's service. the invoice problem seems to have been sorted out by MrBeep.
Today, I called their new desktop support number requesting my openrouter username and password as well as my openweb username and password as my router settings were changed.
I was informed that I will get this info via sms. it is now 5 hours later and I am still waiting. Openweb's service in the past has always been A1 but recently it seems as they are too busy to sort out our problems efficiently. I am dissapointed as I still feel they are the best ISP out there

Your details were smsed to your number and I emailed it after receiving your mail.

Please check email.

Well the sms didn't come through- like all the invoices you guys supposedly sent as well-

Invoices sent on 22 January.

Server blacklisted on same day.

Emails resent on 25 January, server still not removed from blacklist.

New server installed later, clients requested to email us.

Invoices not sent, OpenWeb's fault, and for this I apologised, and herewith apologise again.

Your sms sent this morning.

A courtesy email sent after receiving your email, with all your new details for February. 5 minutes later, a thread about OpenWeb's service.

Hi All

OpenWeb for me is great. I have and small issues but you get that every where u go.

I recommend OpenWeb and give them 90%.

MrBeep gets things done just call.

Cheers
BB :)

yea sounds to like this silkman is a spy from another isp trying to discredit

down with you silkman

lol ok let me clear something up. the ONLY thing i was mad about this morning was not receiving the sms (and I didn't) if MTN is stuffed up then it 's not my fault. I am NOT from another ISP (lol) I have been an openwebber for about 2years now.
oh and just by the way if I was from another ISP why would i say that I think they are the BEST ISP out there??????

I have been an openwebber for about 2years now.
2 years? More like since 2005-08-15 when the domain was registered?
So you must have been OpenWeb's first customer????? :D

Give MrBeep a break. It's must be hard to deal with customers like you all day long :p

Hmmmm I would agree that the service level has declined though!

Remember when he first opened OpenWeb in 2005 getting an account, paying and having my username and password within a few hours.

I only came back onto the ADSL scene in January, bought an account....waited a day and then mailed the next morning asking for my password etc. That afternoon my details came through!

Placed my order yesterday morning, paid straight away but still waiting on my details. Bit slow as it seems i'll only get my details tomorrow. 2 Days? Bleh....

Otherwise they're pretty good. Bought a webafrica account which is instant to get me through till my details arrive. Be good if they could implement something similar?

service rocks!

no problems here

Funny how people whine and complain when someone takes a millisecond longer than the last time, that the proclaim that the service has gone down the tubes!... MrBeep is not Je$u$ - give him a break!.

oh ... ermm... MrBeep... More speed pls : ) - its damn slow lately - what gives? or is this a national issue?

A millisecond longer? It looks like it's way longer with the comments made here. So it is a problem but give MrBeep some time to eat and get back to doing your commands. I am sure he is no robot
Or is he?

But it might help if they got more people working at OpenWeb. I don't think he just wants to keep all that nice profit for himself. ;)

A few things:-

I have never, not got my invoice. In fact I get it 3 or 4 times each month.
I have never had to wait longer than 2 hours for a top up account details.
Early in Jan, Mr Beep even got back to me whilst on holiday in the Kruger. That's service.

I have been a customer for 7 months (I think).

edit: Oh yeah! and sign a debit order!
