Hey guys,

Anyone else get 4096 uncapped through openweb?

I was under the impression that openweb was simply reselling mweb accounts. The only reason I bought through openweb was to avoid the forms and faxing etc, which I had to do with mweb.

It seems my openweb account's p2p throttling applies 24/7 though, it does not become unshaped after-hours like mweb accounts...

Anyone else experiencing this issue?

At the moment my torrents are going at... 3-6kb/s in total. 2 heavily seeded torrents.
 
Yeah, just that i didnt expect it to be this bad. would've been fine if it was like this only during office hours, but even through the night p2p = 56k dial up.

Thinking about selling my account to someone that wants it half price, and getting myself an mweb account. Anyone interested? :P
 
This Openweb Uncapped 4096 is the biggest piece of useless **** ever! Last night I was downloading at 450kB/s on my old 384k line with Openweb (it opens up after hours to allow 4 meg speeds).
Now on the new 4096k package the same torrents running for 2 hours get a maximum of 5kB/s! This is after hours, not during peak and before international went down!
Whats more I am supposed to be on the MWEB resold package, not this IS joke. I had better get a refund or I'll blow a fuse! **** that I'm blowing one now!!

You have been falsely sold this account pastry, your gold bar is in fact a brick of ****. Get your money back from Openweb, I cant believe you are so calm about this deceitfulness.

Yes mine is the same geting max of 10 - 15kb/s on well seeded torrents.
 
The 384kbps openweb uncapped account is giving less than 1k on astraweb. Truly pathetic, been like that the whole day.

Thought i was signing up for a mweb account. Don't like the fact i'm paying mweb uncapped prices and getting an IS account.
 
There is so much wrong with all of this. It reminds me of a time long ago when Openweb was double selling accounts and not thinking we would notice. I forgave them for that and have been an avid supporter since, now they try and pull this **** on us hoping they will get away with it? We are not all computer illiterate morons Keoma. This may get sorted out some time but this is the long weekend so I am out 4 days downloading and there was stuff I wanted to get. But for every one of us that complain there are probably 10 that don't so it pays off for them. Like it was mentioned in another thread, they make more money selling these IS accounts than the MWEB ones they actually advertised. Lets see the bull***** excuses to cover this one up.
 
Seems like all the IS accounts are the same, axxess uncapped also sucks badly. I guess mweb is the only option in this price range.
 
Yeah I'm sure you are right assagai. The Axxess express should be fine though. My old R999 acount from Openweb was fine too. I would dearly like that back, but out of principle I would rather go to Axxess. Here I was thinking my loyalty counted for something but in the meantime it means s h i t.
 
You mean the express+ ?
I have the standard axxess uncapped and its awful.
Think I'll be sticking with my webafrica 30gb special for a while.
 
No express and express+ should be pretty much the same. There are guys pulling 750 gigs a month. Of course it is useless during peak hours but it should be full speed after hours. From what I understand it is the same account I had from Openweb. Apologies if I am mistaken. How is your off peak downloading from them?

think you're correct about the express/express+
i have the basic uncapped - which the same as the openweb account - so there's your answer........ throttled to death 24/7

Sorry, you are in the same boat as us then. If the MWEB thing doesn't work out I will be going back to the more expensive R899/ R999 packages. At the moment I have shut down all torrents it is such a waste of time.

Imagine first time uncapped users thinking this is what it is actually like to have uncapped...
 
Any of you heard anything back from Keoma, I see he was on here earlier?
 
Rapidshare downloads are going at 1KB/s..... Checked the bandwidth log and its been like that the whole night.

I want my money back!!!

Yes i have had some few emails today from Keoma, stating they were working on the problem. Now at the moment my torrents are back up at avg of 200kb/s that’s much better than the 10kb/s i got earlier.
 
are you guys now getting good speeds on openweb 4 meg uncapped?
