Openweb Uncapped Feedback

Going for the Gold Uncapped - got a response from MrBeep after sending him a PM. Service like that is pretty much why Openweb so often kicks ass.

Hope it rocks - tired of Mweb's shena n i g a ns now (lol, word filter) - and I know they're not all Mweb's fault :)
 
I know i don't have an openweb uncapped account (YET), but how does one check your usage? i have a capped account with OW. Many thanks
 
Well, some extra time has passed, and I thought to give some feedback again.

I'm on 384k Uncapped Lite.
Everything still runs perfectly fine, and I have yet to had any amount of serious issues.

Apart from high pings in WoW during the day, up to 6 or 7 PM, and extremely erratic Torrent speeds, this connection still does everything I wanted and expected it to do, and then some.
I am not a mega downloader, and my monthly usage is around 25-30GB per month so far.

News server downloads come down at 40KB/s or close, regardless of time of day, and my US WoW server latency hovers around 300ms during most of my 10man raids.

Nicely done OpenWeb, and thanks for the great product and service.
 
Anyone else experiencing extremely slow download and browsing? I was getting full speed on my Openweb account yesterday...today it's crawling again...why oh why? The makes me SO frustrated.

same here... downloads fluctuating between 4 - 11kbps. I've had this before and Keoma sorted it. Will have to pm him if this continues.
 
Having just shifted over to Openweb Gold uncapped... it's like another world. I actually kinda forgot what the internet was supposed to be like.

Hell's bells - Openweb should have a Gold uncapped account to lend people as trials, it'd get them moving sharpish.

That's what I think, except I'd want it for about a month? And I don't want it to be an unshaped account, I want it to be exactly what I would be getting if I was paying for it. Seriously thinking of moving.
 
After doing 6gb? Not likely...

My speeds are still crappy with downloads. between 7-11kbps. Browsing and youtube though are still normal. Any known popular download site crawls. One or two not so popular download sites still download at normal speed. So yes.... Throttled again.

The Vodacom accounts are terrific, IS suck donkey balls compared, I just wish they'd disclose what's shaped and what isn't because I get utter carp speeds to Youtube and other video sites but get full line speeds to most other things :\

I think some of the members here have gotten trial accounts, but I could be wrong.

I haven't seen the VB accounts perform very well. Do you get full HTTP speed 24/7 i.e they don't shape HTTP as it's the most used protocol? Youtube doesn't perform very well on my VB account as well is what I've found. Some feedback on this matter please?
 
My Gold account is still flying. If you have a problem, email Mrbeep to have it sorted out.

Just wanted to give big ups to MrBeep once again for providing me with very prompt and effective service with my Gold Account, running like a dream now.
Streaming at least 480p and sometime 720p on YouTube with no issues and have a WoW latency of under 400ms even in Dala :D

Does anyone know if Openweb has a newsserver we can use?
I can't connect to the IS one it seems... :(
