well i have to take my hat off for Keoma, in my opinion that the Gold account out performs the Mweb counts by speed i have Gold and Mweb yesterday i only managed 10kb/s on the Mweb account and the Gold ran full speed...

Yay, Mr Beep moved me to the VB network..... back onto the internet highway ;)

Well my VB backbone connects disconnects then speed drops i where usually getting nearly 3.5mb now no more then 2.7 so i thin that not okay with me and telkom says there nothing wrong with my line,my isp have been disconnected today like in 30times with 2-3min interference
 
Hi PieterShaun,

I have had a look at your error logs, and your line is losing sync to the exchange. Please log a fault with Telkom by calling 0800 375 375

Currently my browsing and http downloads are all good (250-400kbps) but streaming on youtube is next to impossible, as is playing wow (was easier to dl the patch than to play :P)

MrBeep as helped me a lot with this account so just gonna see if there's any improvement over the weekend before bugging him again ;)
 
Mr.Beep replied to my email and mentioned there are some faults impacting certain areas and engineers are attending.

Youtube has been dodge over the last 3-4 months or so, off and on. Gametrailers.com has been off/on for me too, most video streaming sites are generally bad and unreliable. Other downloads are up to 420kb/s easily, just streaming is dodge :(
 
Hey guys how are u going on the vodacom backbone this morning? I kept getting PAP authentication errors last night so went to bed, woke up this morning and my net was working but its damn slow. trying to do a speedtest and it starts tests my ping witch is 61ms and then when its supposed to test my download speed it gets stuck and there it stays.
I got a new account yesterday from Mr. Beep, and it flied until the pap errors and 2day i am at snail speed.
 
Im using VB currently and it is flying at full speed here.

Where do you live? I see there are ALOT of open SAIX tickets all over the place. Probably your Telkom exchange

OK you happy Openweb folks - what's the difference between Uncapped Unshaped LITE (384) and Gold Uncapped (384) as far as browsing, some filehosts and some torrents go? Any advice for a poor lad who is tired of Mweb? :)

I've got Gold uncapped. Never had any issues with torrents.
The Lite uncapped is unshaped (100% to the best of my knowledge) as long as you are not in the top 20% of the IS user base.
If you are planning on doing some heavy duty stuff, go with the Gold uncapped. You won't regret it.

For the first time in ages I've decided to torrent a few things. I'm lucky if it hits 5kB/s :mad: :cry:
