Hi ryu,

This is a problem related to your account / exchange / or config. Please email me your username so that I can troubleshoot.

[email protected]

i've already emailed you earlier on today, you did reply saying it would be slower because of the number of users using torrents today.

my torrents are still < 2kbps (11:50pm)

i still think something is wrong with those speeds, switched over to a capped account and its running at full speed.

hopefully things will improve tomorrow

goodnight, way past my bedtime :)

Nope - sitting at 38KB/s. This is starting to become a bit annoying. The whole reason I left MWEB and paid more was because of this.

I can't even get into gmail again to send an email :(

I am running at 380KB/s + on astraweb since Friday using VB. Are you sure your problem is not with your router or line?

Yip. It's intermittent. I can double check using a prepaid account.

It affects everything, browsing, downloads, etc. Everything was working 100% until the 25th

I just switched to the Afrihost free 1GB - I've been downloading a torrent since October, thinking it just wasn't seeded, it immediately jumped to 100KB/s - on Openweb Gold it was going at about 1-5KB/s for the the entire December.

My newsgroups used to do wonders on Openweb Gold, sitting at 350KB/s+ now they below 100KB/s - tried on IS and VB.

Ok - just switched back to Openweb Gold - the torrent that was doing over a 100KB/s is now doing 96b/s.

w.r.t. newsgroup
The odd thing is when I start the downloads, they all jump to almost full line speed for a couple of minutes, say 15min, then drop back down to below 100KB/s

xrapidx, I've experienced that EXACT same problem with newsgroups sometimes (dipping to 99Kb/s and maxes out on that). I have thought it is my exchange that was to blame, glad to see that it must be some sort of problem elsewhere :wtf:

not bad mouthing open web. sure they have done an excellent job with their offering so far bringing us some interesting solutions, but i would wonder how long it would be possible to serve everyone at 24.7 max line speed downloading.

seems that the honeymoon period now over ?

Don't think so - Openweb is doing everything they can to get it resolved - one week of bad speeds is nothing compared to MWEB's eight months of bad speeds. Unlike MWEB, they aren't blaming Telkom, or shaping policies, they are also expecting better performance.

Morning Friends,

Today we are going to be testing all Gold networks with 10 ADSL lines, and 10 lovely technicians. These lovely technicians are P2P, Steam and torrent fans. So we like them :)

May I please ask the folks having problems to email me: [email protected] We will then test your accounts the entire day as well.

By this evening we should have all faults resolved!

Kind regards
MrBEEP

Hello,

Did you email me with your ADSL username?

No, Im a new client and you sorted me out last night with a connection to a new network. That helped but tonight things are weird again which I think is due to the testing...

I can't connect at all tonight to STEAM. (Gold on VB) Anyone else with this problem (already emailed Keoma)
