Openweb Uncapped Feedback

I'm very happy with my openweb uncapped account, did 35gigs since 1st April and always get 470KB/s from my ftp I download from in the USA and rapidshare http also 400-450. Dunno what to download anymore thou :) torrents around 150-300 but that doesn't bother me much since I use other services most of the time, youtube works fine and IS news server speed around 200KB.
 
This morning everything is down to a crawl. Can't get more than 2kb/s from news servers and torrents don't go higher than 3.5 kb/s. Anyone else also experiencing extremely slow speeds ? Seems like my good speeds were short lived only for the weekend :(
 
Mine was flying along, then I did the stupid thing of disconnecting news while I was doing something, now down to a crawl.

This looks suspiciously like a shaper, even torrent seeding has died.

I am sure they could give a bit more speed than 4k/s...

Um, scratch that, speeds are back.

Even browsing has slowed down for me. I just hope there is a reason for this sudden drop in speeds. Its exactly the same like it was on Thursday last week.

+1 I have been getting great speeds. Direct downloads are flying, torrents 150KB/s-200KB/s but it also has come down @ 450KB/s :) so there is a lot of shaping going on but it seems to be an average of 150KB/s for torrents which I am happy with. I also was under the impression that this was an MWEB account but apparently not but for now I am happy.
 
Is it only me suffering from slow news server and torrent speeds then ? Got a HTTP download running with Free Download Manager at the moment and its running at 40KB/s, I just hope my other downloads could run full speed again as well.
 
My You Tube downloads hang before reaching even 100K and torrents are under 1K, switch to my Telkom account and my torrents fly.
 
They are shaping as far as I can tell, and not too well. Torrent seeding is fine, downloading dead, as is news.

On news, occassionally, 1 thread will get going full speed, then die again.

Hope they sort it out so it won't just cut completely during the day, but rather slow down to like half speed etc.

HTTP is going full speed, so it is not an international link like they were saying.

Strange thing is, its a public holiday so the should not be shaping during the day now.
 
Got an e-mail from MrBeep, and they do shape during busy periods.

It's a public holiday today, and I don't agree with shaping to the point of death, MWEB shape, but not to completely no speeds?

When one can't even download You Tube vid's, that's overkill!
 
Hey Friends,

I have emailed the senior engineer at IS. I am awaiting a response.
These accounts will be shaped during busy periods, however, I do not know why they have shaped today. As soon as I receive feedback I will post here.

I was under the impression you guys got accounts from mweb?
 
can some one please comment about MWEB accouns here, been told it performs much better comapre to IS accouns.
