Signed up as of this morning, was going nicely at full speed, on a 384k line.

Now Astra won't connect, everything else is fine. Grrr.

This is weird, get this e-mail this morning. Seems its not uncapped, but a 100GB account. Wonder what happens when I reach that? On a 384k line.

Date/Time: 02-04-2010/03:41:31
UserName: ***************
Total Sent(Mb): 448.73
Total Received(Mb): 1856.12
Total Combined (Mb): 2304.85
Cap (Mb): 1000000
% Cap Used: 0.23%

KEY:
1 Megabyte (Mb) = 1000000 bytes (b)
1 Gigabyte (Gb) = 1000 Megabytes (Mb)

I got the same mail, trying my best to get to that 100gb so I can see what happens! The anticipation is killing me:-)

Hi Friends,

The cap is a guideline. It has no bearing whatseoever. The IS Uncapped Express usage shows the same figure.

Kind regards
MrBEEP

Well, as of this morning, torrents dead, local and international newsserver dead. Both died at 8 am. Shaping?

I have found downloading of all types to be horrendously slow, including browsing which time outs frequently. I logged a ticket asking to be moved onto the Mweb servers and got this response from Keoma:

The Mweb accounts were available upon request at signup. Mweb requires the signing of a 12 month contract, which most users did not want to do.

IS accounts are experiencing problems at the moment.

Engineers are attending.

I have been given other login details [email protected], which I have found fairs no better if not worse.

Switching back to my Telkom login details rectifies everything, so it can't be my line. MY experience so far? Disappointing!

Well, in all fairness, he is at least trying. I was also given the same account, same results.

I have faith in MrBeep to sort things out, seems I'm not the only one working today...

seems to me you people don't know that the 100:1 share ratio means and the word shaped.

It means it slows down, not completely dies.

Save your smartass comments for later on in the day please.

HTTP downloads via DAP are fine BTW.

Yeah the shaper is incorrectly shaping, that all.

Hey Friends,

I am hoping to have a resolution by at least this evening. Lets see if our supplier comes through for us!

Kind regards
MrBEEP

Keoma, please respond to my email. I am not holding thumbs praying that IS will come through for us as this is not the package I believed I was being sold. It was supposed to be the MWEB one! I do not want this POS account.

I have responded to all emails received at my address. Please resend it. We do not advertise Mweb on our website, as explained in the mailer I just sent out to all affected clients. Mweb forced us to sign our clients into a 12 month contract, thus we had to introduce a month to month option. Mweb accounts are only assigned by request.

Here I thought [email protected] was your address. What are you talking about, the article that was on mybroadband was discussing how you have partnered with MWEB and gave the exact figures that show on your site. The same amount MWEB charges. Do I need to find the article for you? Then in my mail I congratulated you on the partnership with MWEB and asked for my account to be changed. Wouldn't that have been a good time to tell me that infact my new account would not be with MWEB?

We then sent out an email to all folks whom signed up, and provided them with the Mweb option or the IS option. If you paid us, you received the IS option, if you completed the Mweb forms we sent out, you received their option.

Spark, this thread is used to provide information regarding Network conditions of the IS account. Please mail me directly to resolve this issue.

I never got that email Keoma, and who else did? I want a refund. I don't care, even pro rata for the 100mb or so I have used trying to get this thing to work! I can accept if I didn't do my homework properly and bought an account not suitable to my needs, but I was tricked into this account and that is so downright low it makes my blood boil.

We did not trick anyone into buying our accounts. Please show us where on the website the word MWEB appears? However, in response to this thread, we will be adding the backbone the Uncapped accounts use to the package list, so that further confusion is avoided.

Please email me.

My account has picked up speed in the last few minutes. Not by much, but I am already seeing an improvement! Keep up the good work Mrbeep!!!!!
