Openweb Uncapped Feedback

We did not trick anyone into buying our accounts. Please show us where on the website the word MWEB appears? However, in response to this thread, we will be adding the backbone the Uncapped accounts use to the package list, so that further confusion is avoided.

Please email me.

I received no such email either, clearly this was not made clear to MyBB when they released the article stating Open Web reselling Mweb "AND ON A CONTRACT BASIS"

MrBEEP, will this resolve the issue of P2P being shaped 24/7 at dial-up speeds or will it become unshaped after-hours? This is the big issue for me. Mweb unshapes their p2p after hours.

Thanks

Thank you zadbnguy, that's what I'm saying. Not only that but my mail made it pretty clear that I was expecting an MWEB resold account. Carry on brown nosing ijackoff maybe your speeds will hit dialup speeds by this evening.

pastry: This is what we are currently trying to achieve with our supplier. They will have to match and better the service offered by Mweb in order to stay in this game.

I had exactly the same experience. Saw mybb article, signed up thinking it was mweb, account started working on the 1st and to my surprise it was an IS account.

I received the email, and chose IS because mweb wanted all my documents including proof of id, bank statement and some other stuff, and I seriously wasnt in the mood. So I signed up with IS one, and am happy. Speed could be a bit better.

So who is at fault here, MyBB or Openweb? Seems we were mislead ... MrBeep, could you respond on that please.

No-one is at fault. We sell Mweb accounts, and we sell IS accounts. You choose which package you would like to go on to before signup. I would really like to ask the folks to give these Home accounts a chance, as I believe what we are experiencing will be resolved.

I have got an email from Mweb and a call from Mweb, when I place the preliminary order to the uncapped option on MyBroadband, at that time it was stated Mweb uncapped and in the email and in the call it was stated on behalf of Openweb, they are contacting me regarding the Mweb offer. I did not accept this offer at that time.

But however after I signed up with Openweb's 4Mbps uncapped at a later stage, I never got an option to select Mweb or I/S backbone. Nor another email.

I received neither choice via email nor had the option on sign up on your website. So someone is at fault here!

Hi Friends,

Currently discussing the product with the Head Engineer. Please monitor the connection and let me know if you notice any improvements.

Still very slow for me as well, but I guess patience is the keyword here :)

I just hope it will increase international download speeds after the problem has been rectified.

I never got that email Keoma, and who else did? I want a refund. I don't care, even pro rata for the 100mb or so I have used trying to get this thing to work! I can accept if I didn't do my homework properly and bought an account not suitable to my needs, but I was tricked into this account and that is so downright low it makes my blood boil.

I signed up for the MWeB deal initially and then got the mail from Openweb stating that they are offering the month to month uncapped at the same price. Mweb contacted me and I declined and rather went with Openweb as I have only had good service from them.

Extract:
Today has been one of the most exciting days in ISP history! I am happy to announce that we now have two options for your Uncapped ADSL order that you have placed. Herewith the details:

1. The MWeb contracts have been sent out, and you may complete and send back the details in order to get an MWeb Uncapped account.
2. We herewith introduce the Internet Solutions based Consumer Uncapped products. The cost is identical, and the product is identical except: The Mweb account has a minimum of a 12 month contract, but the IS account does not, and you do not get WiFi minutes with the IS account, where with MWeb you do.

If you would like to go for the Internet Solution account ou may signup the normal OpenWeb way.
