I am still completely satisfied with my 384k uncapped account......:D

downloading is fantastic...

had a huge problem with rapidshare and all the other ones couldn't download anything from them only mediafire and other video sites were working for me but that seems sorted now...

always get replys to my e-mails

so far so good.......

I agree with you sally. I'm also quite satisfied with my 384k uncapped account so far. I get decent download speeds after hours and over weekends. Last night I even got lucky and my one torrent download spiked to 2MB/s for about 1 minute, during that time I almost downloaded 300MB. I was like "WTF!?" , didn't know our 384k lines had that potential ! :D

Furthermore, the service and replies from Keoma when I email him are always prompt and he replies to every single email I have sent him so far.

Will keep on monitoring performance toward month end and then move from my one ISP to openweb for uncapped :)

Weekends, are great. It's during the week that the wheels fall off. Timeout's, etc.

Furthermore, the service and replies from Keoma when I email him are always prompt and he replies to every single email I have sent him so far.

I have appreciated his transparency and honesty where the product is falling short. I hope that his negotiations with this other Tier 1 provider brings good news for everyone.

@StoneCold & sallyspencer

Are you guys on the IS uncapped or the Mweb uncapped from OpenWeb?

I'm on the IS uncapped option from Openweb. I haven't experienced any timeouts whatsoever, browsing is top notch during the day, and after hours download speeds are really good. :)

I have a 384 uncapped package(mweb) that i bought from openweb. Its valid till end of this month for R100.I used it for testing purposes and i must say that i was impressed.Im still at SAOL till the end of the month and thats why i want to sell the mweb account.PM me if you interested.

I agree with all of you guys. Right now Openweb is offering the best uncapped in my opinion. My brother cancelled Mweb yesterday and signed up with Openweb. He had his details in like 2 minutes and was online.

you guys must consider yourselves lucky. it seems like certain areas get throttled to heck, whiles others fly. i told a buddy of mine to try the account while i was away on teh weekend. he lives in durbs, and said he has cracking speeds ALL the time!

looks like contention for bandwidth is the real killer :-( I get Astraweb speeds around 3.5kb/s to 10kbs during the day. from about 6pm i get average of around 30kb/s. once in a while, from about midnight till (i guess) around 5AM it occasionally jumps to 300kb/s. but it looks like my overall average is still closer to 40kb/s than 400kb/s. I may as well cancel this 4meg account and signup a 384k account.

Hi Hiro

Kindly email me: [email protected] I would like to take a look and see what the problem could be.

Hi Mr. Beep.

Maybe I missed it but if I sign up in the middle of the month does OpenWeb do pro-rata? I have looked at your web-site sign-up process and this information does not seem apparent.

I am considering a 384k IS account, my usage is about 20-30GB a month and would like to have browsable internet during the day with some downloading at night. Would this be considered acceptable usage?

Also what is your cancellation policy, if this account does not meet my needs or has problems will I be forced to pay for the next month as well?

I must say im very impressed with this account. Only one night this month for a few hours download was at 30Kb. Everynight i get 420kb and during the day arounf 150kb with astraweb.

This is my usage stats

Total Sent(Mb): 6203.4
Total Received(Mb): 276936.45
Total Combined (Mb): 283139.85

Hi AnimateX

Im afraid we do not offer pro rata billing at this stage.

I would suggest ordering the account as a Once Off. It will then automatically cancell at month end, and you can simply buy a new account next month if you would like to?

That is one of the advantages of OpenWeb. Once Off offers you no strings attached convenience!

Kind regards
MrBEEP

Thank you for the prompt reply. I will try that.

I wonder if you are planning to offer 4M Gold Uncapped, with a good pricing they can bring the wibe back!

Authentication issues again, anyone else having the same problem?

Yes, every single day, my modem is always on, but what happens is sometime during the day/night there will be no browsing (can't open any page, while BT and downloads are fine). When I reset my browser now I can not authenticate for 10-20 minutes.
